Students join a 5 piece band.  The instrumentation of the band is piano, guitar, bass, drums and voice, like a small rock band or jazz band.  The band follows a detailed curriculum of songs (which they partially choose themselves) and each band member learns every song on all 4 of these instruments!  This helps facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the music and boosts skills like composition, improvising, and interacting with other band members.
Little Bands students will be playing and singing as a group the very first day of class.   By the time they have been in the program for one semester they understand how a piece of music is put together.  They can improvise and compose.  They work well as a team, sing and play four instruments.  This is a comprehensive education that can continue for years, and accommodates students from pre-school through high school.  This program is also ideal for schools in the classroom environment.
